Introduction to Domaine Germain Père et Fils

Arnaud Germain took over from his parents in 2009 and has been slowly turning this small Domaine into one of the most prominent in Saint-Romain. Indeed it was Brian Sieve of Domaine de Montille who recommended we visit Arnaud due to the purity and elegance of the wines he is creating.

Saint Romain, as well as being breathtakingly beautiful, has been on our hit list when searching for a new producer for some time. With rising average temperatures, this once cold village is now a very interesting place to make wine. What is more, the vineyards extend from 270M near Auxey-Duresses to over 400m at Saint-Romain les Hautes (Sous Le Chateau) which adds many different characteristics and points of interest to the wines. Highly recommended for those who appreciate value and terroir difference.

If In Bond wines are purchased for storage in a bonded warehouse or for export, no UK Duty or VAT will be payable.

Duty Paid wines have been removed from the Bond and UK Duty has been paid on them. If Duty Paid wines are purchased for delivery to a UK address or storage in a bonded warehouse, UK VAT is required to be paid. If Duty Paid wines are purchased for export, no UK VAT will be payable.

In Stock wines are available for immediate delivery, storage or collection. They must be purchased separately from On Order wines. If applicable, UK Duty / VAT and shipping costs will be charged at checkout.

On Order wines are not yet available for delivery, storage or collection. They can still be purchased, but separately from In Stock wines, and no UK Duty / VAT or shipping costs will be charged at checkout.
