Tasting Notes

Base ‘2014 and 2015’ I’m told. Not that intense and quite sweet. Pretty ordinary with some chewiness on the end.
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2020

(60% pinot meunier, 25% chardonnay and 15% pinot noir; L101 310 12): Very pale onion skin color. Spicy orchard and pit fruits on the deeply pitched nose. Sappy and smooth in texture, offering plump pear and melon flavors and a touch of bitter cherry pit. Closes on a supple note, with good breadth and a touch of warmth.

This has a very closed nose with just a faint wisp of lemon curd, pear and lime, but developing more of a candlewax scent with aeration. The palate has moderate intensity, touches of pear drop on the mid-palate with a finish that feels as if it has excessive dosage, which I do not think it needed. Tasted March 2008.
