Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 93
Tasted ex-chateau and single blind in Southwold. The Haut Bergey Blanc trumped all-comers when tasted blind, surpassing my already positive appraisal out of barrel. It has very good lift on the nose, just a touch of sulphur that obscures what seems like some attractive honeysuckle and white peach aromas. The palate is well balanced with good weight with touches of dried honey and white peach with a dash of spice towards the finish. It is very primal at the moment but there is certainly good substance. Tasted January 2012.
