Tasting Notes
Vinous 93/100
The 2019 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts 1er Cru has a touch of reduction on the nose, maybe with just a little Brettanomyces too, though it doesn’t really impede, clarifying with time to offer up a subtle shucked-oyster-shell tincture. The palate is medium-bodied and finely-chiseled. Lightly spiced and focused, this builds nicely in the mouth, with a very pleasing finish. It’s just a case of a Vosne Premier Cru that is biding its time. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
