Tasting Notes
Vinous 93
Dark ruby. Highly perfumed, mineral- and spice-tinged red and dark berry liqueur, floral, cracked pepper and olive scents on the nose. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry and blueberry flavors, along with suggestions of candied flowers and star licorice. Shows very good energy and spicy lift on a long, penetrating finish that features repeating floral and spice notes and polished tannins.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2033
Robert Parker 89
Ogier’s 2019 Saint Joseph le Passage marries cherries and raspberries with modest herbal notes in a fruity, direct effort. Medium to full-bodied and reasonably silky in feel, it won’t make you forget this estate’s terrific wines from Cote Rotie, but it’s not priced like those wines either.
Anticipated maturity: 2022-2030
