Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 93/100
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru has a more open-knit bouquet than Gouges’s Les-Saint-Georges with raspberry, cranberry, touches of crushed strawberry, hints of aniseed and blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied, with pliant, supple tannins, plenty of vivacious red fruit, a slight tanginess toward the finish and just a suggestion of whole bunch on its peppery aftertaste. Well-worth seeking out. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
