JUST RELEASED: 2022 Patrick Piuze
November has become the month when are able to offer the new releases from Patrick Piuze. This year we are particularly excited to be able to introduce the 2022’s, as the wines are superb and there are also good quantities available compared to the meagre 2021 vintage. Since 2008, Patrick has forged his own path and won critical acclaim for his unique approach to crafting terroir driven Chablis at all classification levels. Now consistently pushing the more established names in the region, Patrick is receiving the plaudits and following he deserves. It is worth noting that in a wine market of continually increasing release prices we have been able to hold the pricing on the 2022’s at the same level as the 2020’s and 2021’s. This is an encouraging move from Patrick and one we hope is followed by other producers in the region. The prices on this offer will be held until November 30th, after which time they will increase as shown in the table below.

The 2022 Vintage
After the complexity and struggles winemakers experienced in 2021, the 2022 vintage was a welcome return to “the new normal”. Although not without its difficulties, it was a hot and dry vintage, 2022 was a markedly easier vintage. Yields were close to normal, and ripening was not an issue. The key to making the best wines was vineyard management, when to pick and careful work in the winery to retain freshness. This was something Patrick managed perfectly once again. These are concentrated, textural wines that retain energy and freshness which are the hallmarks of great Chablis.

Please note, each wine is also available in re-packed 6 bottle cases (rather than the 12 bottle original cases) if desired and where possible.
